Skillet breakfast with eggs at Carr’s

This week’s special · $26.99

Apple pie praline stuffed pancake.

Two eggs, hash browns, two bacon, two links. The special changes. The portions do not.

Ham the size of a hubcap. The Miles of Meat skillet. Chicken fried steak under sausage gravy. Cadillac crab omelette. The Daewoo Two — two giant buttermilk pancakes, eggs, and meat. They named the board like a lot on Bridgeport. It still eats like Sunday.

Carr’s Catering

The same kitchen, a bigger table.

Intimate gatherings of ten. Celebrations of five hundred. Buffet, family-style, plated, or drop-off. They customize the quote. If it isn’t on the list, they’ll try to make it.

Grazing tables. Prime rib. Dungeness crab cakes. Waffle bars. Licensed bartenders. Linen and china if you want the whole room handled by one place. Pierce, King, Thurston, and Lewis counties.

Chris & Ellen Carr

Lakewood, all their lives.

They married on the Big Island in 2007. The work started earlier. Chris was fourteen when he washed dishes for his aunt Marcia at Silver Spoon Café in Tacoma. He stayed ten years and learned every station. Ellen started there too — prep cook, waitress, then a degree in business management.

Carr’s opened in 2008. They sit with Clover Park Rotary. They write that each meal should remind you of home, and that guests leave as extended members of the Carr’s family.

“We take great pride in our efforts to go the extra mile… Each meal we serve should remind you of home.”
